Would you rather live in a poor but democratic country than a rich but totalitarian country?
10 sentences.

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

I think I would prefer a poor genuinely democratic country. I am not very impressed by great material wealth, so that is not going to persuade me to keep my mouth shut. Just think of living in Singapore, I would hate it.

Also It depends on how poor, but I think on the whole poor in a democratic country is better. Lots of rich people, I believe, buying property in other countries because they don't trust their government not to take their money and/or put them in jail. That's the disadvantage of non-democratic governments, they can be extremely arbitrary and you don't get much in the way of appeal from them.

i might be wrong but if i remember correctly that was the right answer.......lmk if im wrong.

President Nixon secretly expanded the Vietnam War by planning a ground invasion of North Vietnam for 1974 and ordering the bombing of North Vietnamese bases in Cambodia.

This led to the effective destruction of the Paris Peace Accords as the United States withdrew their representatives from the negotiations. The president also canceled the withdrawals of US troops that were set to occur in 1970.

Nixon's strategy was to send more ground troops to Vietnam in order to gain a favorable advantage over the North Vietnamese while simultaneously negotiating a ceasefire in an attempt to bring the war to a successful conclusion. This strategy ultimately failed and led to increased casualties as the war lingered for several more years.

What are the differences between mlk and malcolm x

Answers

Answer:

Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were arguably the two most important leaders during the American Civil Rights Movement. Although both were dedicated to ending racial discrimination towards African Americans and achieving racial freedom, the two appeared to differ significantly in their ideology and tactics.

Aims: Martin Luther King was an integrationist, whose main aim was to bring about racial equality through both races mixing and working together. However, Malcolm X was a black nationalist with a firm belief in black supremacy. Although he also wanted civil rights, he championed black superiority over whites and wanted the races to be distinctly separated, as he remained suspicious of white people and believed that African Americans should only seek to help one another.

Tactics:  The issue of how to achieve their goals also differed. To achieve racial equality, Martin Luther King believed non-violent resistance was the key to ending all violence and racial hatred, in order to eventually achieve equality between races. These non-violent tactics were evident during peaceful protests such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott 1955. Malcolm X on the other hand, believed that non-violent methods were too slow to achieve progress and signified weakness. He strongly believed in black pride and that African Americans should achieve their goals “by any means necessary”, advocating black militancy both as a form of self-defence and defiance against white aggression.

Explanation:

hope this helps

The Napoleonic wars in Europe fueled the early fights for  independence in Latin America. Napoleon's invasion of Spain is sometimes cited as the immediate cause of the uprisings in Spanish America.

What impact did the Napoleonic Wars have on South America?

The Napoleonic Wars had a significant influence on Latin America. Latin colonies had the chance to seek independence while Iberian powers were distracted, resources were transferred, and efforts were directed elsewhere.

With the exception of a few Caribbean islands, all Latin countries obtained independence between 1808 and 1826. Napoleon Bonaparte assumed power soon after the French Unrest and the consequent political instability, further destabilizing the Latin American colonies and leading to greater revolution.

It established the lycée system of schools for universal education, constructed several institutions, and instituted new civic norms that offered the French far more freedom than during the Monarchy.

Therefore, The Napoleonic Wars had a huge impact on Latin America.
