The best way to see the Quechee Gorge is by taking a hot air balloon ride. The gorge is 165 feet deep, with the Ottauquechee River at the bottom. It was formed when glaciers melted during the last ice age and is known as Vermont's Grand Canyon. Taking a hot air balloon ride through the gorge is a unique group experience with unparalleled views—and that is only part of the tour!
Taking a ride in a hot air balloon is already a unique experience. Visitors watch as the pilot tests the air currents with a helium balloon and makes a flight plan. The balloon is laid out on the grass and filled with cool air. Then, the pilot turns on the burners, which heat the balloon's air and cause the balloon to rise. Each balloon carries up to four passengers in addition to the pilot. As a result, tourists can enjoy the experience as a private group. Once the hot air balloon is in the air, the skilled pilot puts it into the paths of different air currents. Since air currents change on a daily basis, every ride is unique.
The aerial views from the hot air balloon are unparalleled. The hot air balloon floats above the dam and waterfall. Passengers can see people lining the steel bridge over the gorge. Then the hot air balloon floats just above the river. This relaxing trip allows visitors to enjoy the rushing water and watch for wildlife in the forest. The pilot also takes the hot air balloon high into the sky. Tourists can see the nearby mountains. Since they are traveling in a hot air balloon, visitors are treated to a 360-degree view of their surroundings.
The Quechee Gorge is only part of the hot air balloon tour. Passengers also enjoy seeing covered bridges and farms. They can touch the leaves on the trees. The hot air balloon may even make a quick dip into the water! Visitors admire the beautiful villages of Vermont and take pictures of the picturesque countryside.
At the end of the tour, passengers will without a doubt say that a hot air balloon ride is the best way to see the Quechee Gorge.

Why did Nick's father sign the contract? What do you think the reasons may be for his actions?
The classic short story "Indian Camp" by Ernest Hemingway tells of the recurrent Hemingway character Nick Adams. Nick is a child accompanying his father, who is a doctor, to an Indian settlement. A woman is having a difficult time with childbirth and Dr. Adams assists in the delivery. He has to use a jack-knife to perform an emergency caesarean section. During the operation, the woman's husband, in despair, kills himself by slitting his throat with a straight razor.
Explanation:
The relationship between Nick Adams and his father changes during the course of the story. In the beginning, as they are rowing towards the camp, Nick rests trustfully "with his father's arm around him." As part of Nick's initiation to manhood, his father asks him to assist with the medical procedure. He explains things to Nick in a dispassionate way and obviously expects Nick to react similarly, but eventually Nick looks away "so as not to see what his father was doing." He doesn't want to watch as his father sews up the woman's incision with fishing line.

Romeo and Juliet interesting fact
Answer:
Shakespeare makes Juliet a thirteen-year-old girl when she goes to be with Romeo.
Explanation:
Shakespeare dramatised the story, he made Juliet several years younger (though Romeo appears to have been kept at around sixteen years of age). As Lady Capulet reveals, Juliet is ‘not [yet] fourteen’. This makes sense in so far as Juliet represents young love, but what makes it unsettling – particularly for modern audiences – is the fact that this makes Juliet a girl of thirteen when she enjoys her night of wedded bliss with Romeo.

Answer:
Today I went out for a stroll in the gorgeous scenery. It was freezing cold when I stepped out. The pathway was icy and slippery. I tried to reach out for the rusty light post, and despite my efforts, I managed to fall right in slush puddle. My bottom was soaked from the muddy slush. I got up and realized my phone was on my bottom pocket. I took it out and the mobile wouldn't even turn on. It's sleek black screen refused to show anything but my saddedned face. I slid the phone back into my soggy pocket, and headed back home.
I didn't get far before I couldn't feel my fingers. Afraid to catch a cold or anything else, I headed to the nearest bus station. I reached the old rusty structure. I tried to sit down, but the seats were filled with garbage and old gum. I decided to stand instead.
Finally the bus approached. I rushed into the warm environment. I felt my entire body melt into the seat. As I was heating up, I looked over to see the entire bus passengers were staring at me. Their beady eyes, drew lasers into me. My face was reddened with embarrassment. I was dead silent all the way home.
When I reached my bus stop, I thanked the bus driver and proceeded out into the brutally chiling world. But as soon as I stepped out, I slipped and found myself in another slush puddle. What made it worse was that the bus was still there. All the passengers laughed at my misfortune.
Being the sensitive person I am. I began crying in the slush puddle.
I didn't leave the spot till my eyes were bloodshot and puffy. I then picked up my sorry soaked self and trudged on home.
I regret ever leaving my room.

The Positive Effects on Stress in High Schoolers
Although everyone knows the popular saying, “stress kills,” it may not be as true as we think. Stress can be a beneficial aspect to our lives, because it can improve cognitive function, provide motivation, and help develop resilience.
EUSTRESS VS. DISTRESS
When you hear the word stress, what comes to mind? Most people would say that stress is a negative factor in their life, contributing to social withdrawal, drug or alcohol use, and sleep issues (Mayo Clinic Staff). However, there is another kind of stress: The kind you feel when something positive happens. This kind of stress is beneficial to your mental health (Lindberg). The kind of stress most people think of is called distress, and the positive stress is called eustress. The word distress comes from the Old French word destresce, meaning “state of pain or fear.” (“detresse”) The word eustress comes from the Greek prefix for good, and the word stress. (“A Word A Day”)
Eustress can occur when you start something new. For example, when you get a new job, and start to feel nervous, that’s eustress. While distress leads to negative reactions, eustress leads to more positive emotions, such as striving to reach a goal, striving to overcome obstacles, and even giving you a reason to wake up in the morning. (Scott)
Turning distress into eustress. There, fortunately, are ways to turn distress into eustress. Some of these ways include: looking at the bright side of a situation, reminding yourself of the strengths you have to get you through the stressful time, and focusing on what you have to improve the situation- not what you don’t. (Scott)
CONCLUSION
While stress is never fun, there are health benefits to certain types of stress, called eustress. It is actually possible to turn negative stress into positive stress. Positive stress keeps life interesting, and giving you goals to strive towards, and a reason to wake up in the morning
Read this sentence from paragraph 2 of "I Believe in the Also-Rans." As an English teenager I was schooled in an elite school where I was fed the idea that I was better than others and that achievement and winning were all-important. Which sentence from "A Baseball School for Big-League Dreamers" contrasts with the attitude expressed in the sentence from "I Believe in the Also-Rans"? F "You kind of just don't want to leave the field at the end of the night," he says. G"We are not sending the message that every one of our players are going to wind up playing shortstop for the Mets." H Bolek, who has coached in the minors, the majors and college, says his job is not always about baseball. J And there's something else: Many of the coaches have given years to the game.
Answer:
G. "We are not sending the message that every one of our players are going to wind up playing shortstop for the Mets."
Explanation:
The statement from A Baseball School for Big-League Dreamers that contrasts the one from I Believe in the Also-Rans is statement G.
In statement G, the coaches are realistic about their players' chances. They don't want to give them false hopes. They will make sure to use every player's potential as much as they can, but they won't convince them that they are better than others.
In the original statement, the attitude is the opposite - being better than others, winning, and making achievements is all that matters.
This is how these two statements contrast each other.

Write a paragraph on what it means to be an American, yes Black lives and Lgbtq+ lives ARE IMPORTANT!
No racism or homophobia, please
Will mark brainiest if complete paragraph
I believe that being an American means that I can be whoever I want. Every life has so much potential to end greatly or horribly and as an American I can choose which way my life will go. I have the freedom to choose my beliefs, where I live, and I can choose how to live my life. Everyone in the world is given the gift of free will, but in America I feel like I can have the support and safety of my community. Here, I have many freedoms that I might not even realize I have or appreciate, because I didn't have to fight for them, the generations before me did. Many Americans born here will take that for granted but refugees and immigrants, the people that make up the heart of America, will truly value what we have here. America offers the opportunity for a life full of freedoms and dreams.
