What are geographic factors impacting war?

At the tactical level, geography, terrain, water topography and hydrography, atmospherics, and other physical circumstances are all unquestionably significant. For military planners, those elements are equally as crucial to making war, albeit in different ways. Military strategists now concentrate their efforts on creating or organizing objectives as a result of the reduced reliance on military strategy as a means of waging war.

Even in military strategic positions, military experts frequently lament the fact that their finest tactical or operational efforts cannot compensate for weak or ambiguous political or strategic direction. However, although accurate, this criticism accomplishes little to further the planning and conduct of war or theater of war operations.

"Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes?
A. Power is a monster that could not be tamed by the
people.
B. The people will become a monster that causes chaos
a
and anarchy
C. The monster government should not have absolute
power.

Answers

Answer:

C. The Monster government should not have absolute

power.

Explanation:

Leviathan (1651), Hobbes argued that the absolute power of the sovereign was ultimately justified by the consent of the governed, who agreed, in a hypothetical social contract, to obey the sovereign in all matters in exchange for a guarantee of peace and security.

The monster government should not have absolute power. This is what is stated in "Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes. Thus, option C is appropriate.

The English philosopher Thomas Hobbes was born. Hobbes is most known through his 1651 book Leviathan, the in which he presents a crucial articulation of the social contract idea.

Thomas Hobbes' principal focus is the issue of order in society and politics, namely how people might coexist peacefully without running the risk and terror of armed conflict. We should submit to an unaccountable ruler, he says in the face of stark alternatives.

According to Hobbes, anarchy, in which the strong rule the weak, is humankind's basic natural state. He said that life was "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short" for the majority of humanity. As a result, self-preservation is our only natural right.

Thus, option C is correct.

What is the system of peonage?

Answers

A method in which an employer forces a worker to repay a debt through working.

Answer:

According to PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), "Peonage, also called debt slavery or debt servitude, is a system where an employer compels a worker to pay off a debt with work."

Explanation:

A common practice in the America's from her inception until the mid 19th century, peonage was a method to ensure those that found themselves in debt who didn't have the money to repay would be able to pay off their debt in another way, physical labor. While outlawed in 1867, this practice would continue until the early 20th century, mainly in the south with black men being indebted to white plantation owners as sharecroppers, often times by the very same master's theyselves and their ancestors were once owned by. Workers were often commonly trapped in this cycle of forever paying off their debt for life, as often times the interest on the debt would accumulate faster than they could pay it off.

Perhaps some of the worst abuses of this could be found in the American south, where black men who were picked up for minor crimes. (Soliciting, loitering, petty theft) would be stacked with fines so high they would have to sell them selves into peonage to a local employer who would pay the fines for them. Only to find themselves trapped in this never ending debt cycle. The state would also lease these prisoners out to factories, and often times debt records would become lost or destroyed, dooming the men to a lifetime of servitude to southern states post-civil war.
